Two weeks ago I was in Hawaii for vacation and while I was there I picked up the Japanese fashion magazine “Non-no” to look at on the plane ride home! I love looking at foreign fashion magazines – it’s always so interesting to see what other countries are wearing at the moment. My favorite fashion magazines are usually Japanese ones because the clothing is always so girly and creative.
A lot of my readers are probably familiar with the magazine “KERA” which features very funky clothes along with gothic and lolita brands, but Non-no focuses more on mainstream trends. Non-no was one of my favorite magazines to look through in high school, and I was so excited to find a copy of this month’s issue in my hotel’s lobby. I know not everyone has a way to purchase these magazines where they live, so I decided to scan some of my favorite pages to share with you all!
All images can be clicked to view larger on flickr!
I *LOVE* the outfit on this page and the pieces to the top left. It’s such a cute fall look and I’d totally wear all of that.
The colors in this outfit are not something I’d particularly wear, but what I liked the most about this page was the polka dot tights, burgundy platform shoes and how the sweater had interesting shoulder cut outs. Looks like a very comfy outfit!
I love the girly casual looks on this page! And that cat shirt that says “I am Kathy” is adorable.
More looks from the opposite page – my favorite is the striped sweater with the skirt and lucky shirt.
This page was a mini magazine inserted inside focusing on this brand’s clothing. I thought the peter pan collar and the scalloped edges were such a pretty touch, and the leopard beret adds some funky to the feminine look.
I basically love everything on this page. I really want a little detachable collar like the ones on the top right!
CATS! This two page spread featured ALL cat items.
Everything is so cute!!! Hahaha I want it all.
This was another mini magazine insert, and it was all focusing on this model. I’m not sure if she is a singer or actress or what… But all her outfits were fantastic and remind me of my daily wear ideas.
More cute shots of her. I like her hair cut too!
I mostly scanned this page because I liked the doodles all around the outfit – but the outfit is cute too!
These purses are so pretty with all the scallops, hearts and bow details!! They look like they are soft too.
Two very funky cute outfits. The tights on both are SO cool!
I really liked the illustrations and photo for this watch ad. The watches not so much, but oh well!
This was another ad but I love the outfit the girl is wearing! It reminds me of stuff from Free People or Anthropologie.
Last but not least, the Dolly Girl by Anna Sui section! This what was on the cover of the magazine. I tried to find out more about this collection online but didn’t have much luck. Everything is so fall-ish and feminine, I love it!! The magazine also came with a free purse featuring the dolly girl logo printed all over it.
How cute is that luggage and the sweater dress!? I wish I could find where to buy this stuff online!
Well that’s it! I hope you guys enjoyed these scans. I might scan more magazines I like in the future so keep an eye out for that! And I’ll also be posting about my trip to Hawaii soon 😀
