Back from San Francisco!

I never got the chance to make the formal announcement that I was leaving… but last week I went to San Francisco (and now I'm back!). I had planned on making a few posts to be uploaded while I was gone (a things I love Thursday specifically) but I ended up running out of time… To all of you who left me comments last week wondering where I was at and saying you missed my posts/wallpapers/etc, thank you! ❀ I was shocked how many responses I got – next time I go out of town I'll try my best to have some time-released posts for you guys πŸ˜‰

Anyhow – the trip was really great. I was tagging along on one of Chris's work trips, so I stayed in the hotel with his conference and explored the city while he worked! It was very nice and relaxing because I've stayed in that part of San Francisco a few times now and feel comfortable there.

Some highlights from the trip:

Going to a dinner party at the California Academy of Sciences with Chris's company. There was so much cool stuff in there… At one point we went in this crazy rain forest bubble and my hair went bananas – super poofy and straight! I saw lots of little bats, fish, butterflies… even went to the planetarium.

Seeing my friends Laila, Ben, Leuwam, and finally meeting a ton of people such as Wendy and Sarah! (So many other people I enjoyed visiting with and meeting – really too many to list! It was amazing.)

Walking to Japantown and going to New People – it was such a cool store! I was in awe of the "Black Peace Now" clothes and EGL dresses at "Baby The Stars Shine Bright" – really really neat to see since I like Japanese fashion. I also met some really nice people while I was there and picked up a cartoony yellow watch – I can't stop wearing it! It is my new favorite thing.

Going to the coin operated machine museum, MusΓ©e MΓ©canique, and trying out all the fortune telling machines. Video of that later.

Climbing to the roof of our friend's house and seeing the amazing view of San Francisco at the top. I'm very jealous – what a cool place to live! πŸ™‚

Going to the Japanese Tea Garden – it was super pretty! I'd love to live somewhere like that…

Finding a street named Sansome which obviously means San + Awesome. hahah! I'm such a dork.

Sticker picture making at Pika Pika – I want to go back next time with a bunch of people and take ridiculous photos!

You can see more photos from my trip here. I could go on and on about all the things I enjoyed… I took a lot of video while we were there and later on this week or next week I'll share some of it with you guys. I'm also going to try to make a mini comic about my experience there. I'll be sure to share when its done! πŸ™‚

So now you guys know where I was at and what I was up to! I should have a few more posts later this week on comic reviews and Things I love Thursday stuff… until then – here is a goofy gif of me jumping on the hotel bed! ;)

aw thanks! There is a lot of really neat stuff in SF, and they have tons of beautiful gardens and public spaces everywhere! You should definitely go to the tea garden if you are ever in San Francisco – its very small but gorgeous.

I’ve been wanting those star headphones for ages! I like squeaked when I saw them in the store – unfortunately I have a pair that I never use, so I knew it would be a bad purchase for me… but man they are CUTE! Does your pair work pretty good?
